FASHION IS BACK

Thursday: December 3rd, 2015.

It has been so long since I last posted! A whole 3 months ago yesterday! I am finally back with greater surprises and back for good. It's my senior year and the beginning is always so hectic, with managing school and the school work we get. We get projects on projects especially being a art major and in ap classes. Also I manage working as well, I work at a pizza place and now Macys too! Continued during this process I have been applying to colleges. Art and fashion college applications tend to be a lot of work since you have to create portfolios as well and I applied to a few schools all over. In Newyork the schools includes FIT, PRATT <3, and LIM. I have also considered Parsons, maybe i'll add that in the next week! Who knows. In California, I applied to FIDM, my dream school that I visited this summer. I think I need to apply to another California school like the north ridge state school for fashion, if I decide California is still my place to be. Also in my local area I applied to The Philadelphia Art Institutes and considered Moore as well. I even have applied to a international study abroad program in JAPAN. At Bunka Fashion College. Today in the mail I recieved my whole packet, including their school magazine and more goodies! It would be a honor to be accepted. Now time to wait for acceptance!!! Since Japan is my dream place and I would love to design Japanese fashion. But I wanted to include a few things today like for instance my Fidm sketch portfolio first.

First for my portfolio we had to create inspiration pages, so I searched around tumblr for photo and made a collage based off of Japanese fashion and kitsch.

Next I had to base my sketches off of my inspiration. I had to make 6, I stayed in the blue, pink, and purple color family. I made my designs kitsch and 3D.

Please don't copy my work.

It is all about presentation so this was set up in a sketch book, with fabric swatches for each to match and sent out to FIDM. Now time to finish uploading my portfolios onto slide room for other colleges.

Next I'd love to include some photos from the costume exhibit at the MET. I fell in love. It was beautiful, 3 dresses were my favorite that I am sharing. I literally cried. If you can get out to the Met in New York, this is a must see. It was wow, beautiful, even more amazing in person.

SO BEAUTIFULL!!!!

This was my quick update, with more blog posts to come. Especially as my time eases up a bit more! Stay tuned for next time to see my work space, fashion, and more!!

LOVE,
JACKIE XX
